I'm Junaid Jacobs.
I started Talelite in Cape Town after training at The Animation School, and I still do the work myself: the CGI, the shoots, the edits. The studio makes campaign content for brands and causes, from a sandal built in 3D to a documentary shot in a day.

Approach
I care about two things. The work has to look like it belongs to your brand, not to a studio. And you should always be able to call the person who made it. So I keep the team small, I direct everything, and I say no to work I can't do well.
Process
- 01Brief. A call, then a one page brief we both sign off. What you need, who it is for, where it will run, when.
- 02Idea. One route, not five. A treatment, a reference frame, a rough timeline.
- 03Build or shoot. CGI is built in Maya and Cinema 4D; film is shot with our own kit; both come into After Effects and Premiere.
- 04Review. Two rounds at a fixed stage each, so nobody is surprised at the end.
- 05Deliver. Every ratio, named and filed, with a short note on how to use it.
